Youth Exchange: Students from Brodnica at a German School in Erwitte

I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Brodnica maintains partnership relations with Städtisches Gymnasium in Erwitte. As part of this cooperation, from April 6-11 this year, a group of students from the Brodnica high school participated in a visit to the partner school in Germany.

The adventure began with a bus trip on Saturday, April 5. Sunday was spent getting to know the German partner families. The program included mini-golf, board games, trips around the area, and shared feasting.

"On Monday, we were officially welcomed at the school and after the presentation of the stay plan, we had breakfast together. Then we met with the mayor of Erwitte, who told us about the economic and social structure of the region and its history," report the exchange participants.

The following days included lessons at the German school, visits to local companies (Schlüter), a trip to Lake Möhnesee and the Gasometer in Oberhausen for the Planet Ozean exhibition. The students also visited Münster, where they toured the Museum of Natural History and admired the architecture of the old town.

This trip gave students from Brodnica the opportunity to learn about the culture and everyday life in Germany and motivated them to learn foreign languages.
