Attention: Nationwide alarm system exercises 'ALARM 2026'

Upcoming alarm siren tests

On July 21, and optionally July 22, 2026, between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, nationwide exercises codenamed 'ALARM 2026' will take place. The objective is to verify the readiness of emergency services and the effectiveness of the public warning system.

What to expect?

During the drills, residents may hear alarm sirens. Important: these signals are for training purposes only. They do not indicate a real emergency and require no protective action from the public.

Objectives

The exercises will test:

• Communication channels and information flow between services and public administration.
• Public warning procedures.
• Response times of the system participants.
• Technical efficiency of the alarm sirens.

Participants include the Polish Armed Forces, the State Fire Service, and the Government Security Centre.
