Grant agreement signed for conservation work in Gorczenica!

On September 23, 2025, the Mayor of Brodnica Commune, Adam Zalewski, officially signed a grant agreement with Fr. Krzysztof Kiełpiński, the Parish Priest of the Parish of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Gorczenica. This ceremony marks an important step towards preserving the local heritage.

The grant of PLN 15,000, awarded under Resolution No. XIII/84/25 of the Brodnica Commune Council of August 29, 2025, will enable the implementation of conservation works at the parish church, which is entered in the register of monuments. These funds will be allocated to the conservation of church bells located in the tower of the parish church in Gorczenica.

The purpose of these works is to preserve the historical value of the monument and to cultivate local historical memory. This investment highlights the commitment of the commune authorities to protecting the cultural heritage of the region.
