New St. Rita's House Opened in Brodnica

On Wednesday, June 25th, the grand opening of St. Rita's House took place, as part of the Supporting Services Development Center at the Brodnica Caritas Center. The event was attended by Starosta Paweł Szramka, Vice Starosta Arkadiusz Orłowski, and Chairman of the Brodnica County Council, Marek Hildebrandt. This investment aims to reduce social inequalities by improving access to services for marginalized communities.

Purpose and Functions of St. Rita's House

St. Rita's House, located at Gajdy 3 Street in Brodnica, will provide social services to the local community, especially for people with disabilities, people with special needs, and people with developmental disorders, including autism spectrum. It will offer rehabilitation, developmental activities, respite services, and other support activities for people with disabilities from the Brodnica County. It is estimated that at least 80 people will benefit from it annually.

Investment and Funding

The project was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Program European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021-2027. The value of the project is PLN 4,146,687.30, and the amount of co-financing from the European Union was PLN 3,524,684.20.

Equipment and Offer of St. Rita's House

St. Rita's House offers a physiotherapy room with professional equipment, an office for specialists (sexologist, psychologist, medical caregiver, speech therapist), a salt cave, and a botanical studio with a winter garden.
