Serious Accident in Sumowo Due to Excessive Speed

On January 28, 2025, on a Tuesday morning, a dangerous traffic incident occurred in the village of Sumowo. A 20-year-old man, resident of the Brodnica county, lost control of his Opel Astra while driving at excessive speed. The vehicle skidded and crashed violently into a tree growing by the road.

As a result of his injuries, the young man was airlifted in critical condition to a specialist hospital by the Medical Air Rescue.

In light of this incident, the police urge drivers to adhere to the allowed speed limits and to exercise caution, especially in areas that require special attention, such as pedestrian crossings, bicycle paths, and intersections.
