The great return of the railway to Brodnica and the surrounding areas!

Great news for residents! From December 2026, passenger train connections will return to the Brodnica - Rypin route, and courses from Laskowice Pomorskie to Wierzchucin will also be launched. This is the result of the actions of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Self-Government, aimed at restoring regional rail connections.

Comfort and modernity in travel

Passengers will have the opportunity to travel in comfortable, air-conditioned trains, equipped with toilets adapted for people with disabilities and places for bicycles. In addition, a new Brodnica Południowa railway stop will be built in Brodnica at ul. 18 Stycznia, with facilities for people with disabilities, shelters, information displays, benches, signage and LED lighting.

Connection details and promotions

It is planned to launch from 6 to 12 pairs of trains a day on the Brodnica - Rypin route. What's more, from December 13, 2026 to January 17, 2027, a promotional ticket price will apply - only PLN 1! Seniors (people over 65) will pay only PLN 4 for the journey throughout the duration of the contract (until 2030).

The future of communication in the region

This is another important step towards improving the accessibility of communication in Brodnica and the entire region. Thanks to investments in modern rolling stock and infrastructure, residents will gain access to safe, fast and comfortable rail connections. The completion of all modernization works is planned for the summer of 2026.
