Feast at Princess Anna Vasa's Castle at CKZiU - Event Report

On May 24, 2025, Brodnica County went back in time! The festival "Feast at Princess Anna Vasa's" took place at the Center for Vocational and Continuing Education in Brodnica, gathering crowds of residents from Brodnica and the surrounding areas.

Attractions and Awards

The festival featured numerous artistic performances, fairs, lectures, and competitions. The highlight was the presentation of awards in the literary competition "For the Golden Pen of the Starosta of Brodnica". Starosta Paweł Szramka and Vice Starosta Arkadiusz Orłowski honored the laureates: Maciej Różyński (CKZiU Brodnica), Oliwia Dembińska (I LO Brodnica), and Julia Wiecierzycka (I LO Brodnica) for their literary achievements. Maja Snopek, Amelia Szczechowicz, and Igor Machalski were also distinguished.

In the culinary competition "From the Table of Anna Vasa", all participants took first place, including Vice Starosta Arkadiusz Orłowski, Mayor of Osiek Commune Paweł Chudy, County Consumer Advocate Kamil Suchocki, Deputy Director of CKZiU Jarosław Hiszpański, and Fr. Marcin Jędraszek.

Lectures and Active Recreation

Festival participants had the opportunity to listen to a lecture by Piotr Grążawski, a popularizer of the region's history, who spoke about the myths and facts associated with Anna Vasa. The festival also welcomed participants of the "Bike Ride with Princess Anna", which ended at the CKZiU Stronghold.

Artistic Performances

The audience enthusiastically received performances by dancers from the Brodnica Cultural Center, the Dwójeczki band from Primary School No. 2 in Brodnica, and students from the Primary School of Princess Anna Vasa in Gorczenica.

The event was organized by Brodnica County and CKZiU in Brodnica, with the support of many partners, including Gród Foluszek, Brodnica Forest District, and the Museum in Brodnica.
