KRUS to start paying the supplementary allowance in May

Bydgoszcz, April 30, 2025. In May, the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) will start paying a new cash benefit - the supplementary allowance. The payment will be made in the May payment dates for family pensions paid together with the social pension.

In most cases, the supplementary allowance will be paid with equalization from January 1, 2025.

Who is entitled to the supplementary allowance?

The supplementary allowance is due to persons entitled to a social pension paid concurrently with an agricultural family pension who are completely unable to work and to live independently. These people have been informed about the granting of the allowance by a notification sent in January this year. or by decision, if the allowance was granted from February or later.

Allowance amount

After the revaluation from March 2025, the supplementary allowance is PLN 2,610.72 gross per month (for January and February 2025 - PLN 2,520.00 gross per month).

How to get the allowance?

Beneficiaries entitled to the concurrence of an agricultural family pension with a social pension who, on January 1, 2025, had a certificate of incapacity for independent living and are still unable to live independently will receive payment of the supplementary allowance with equalization for the period from January 1, 2025 to April 30, 2025 without having to submit an application.

Note: The amount of the supplementary allowance equalization will be reduced by the amount of the supplementary benefit paid due to incapacity for independent living.

Persons who on January 1, 2025 did not have a certified incapacity for independent living or this incapacity expired after that date may obtain the right to the supplementary allowance only upon application submitted to ZUS. The application must be accompanied by a health certificate issued by the attending physician and the medical documentation held. The application form (Form EDD-SOC) is available on the ZUS website.

Deductions from the allowance

An advance payment for income tax and a health insurance contribution will be deducted from the amount of the supplementary allowance, and other deductions and executions may also be made on the same terms as from the social pension.
