Meeting with Piotr Grążawski at I LO in Brodnica

On Monday, April 7, 2025, a meeting was held in the aula of the I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Filomatów Ziemi Michałowskiej in Brodnica with Piotr Grążawski, a well-known publicist and author of books popularizing history, ethnography, and folk culture. The event inaugurated the celebration of the Year of Princess Anna Wazówna at the school, established by the Brodnica County Council.

Deputy Director Anna Rumińska welcomed the guest, emphasizing the importance of popularizing local history and figures associated with the region. In his lecture, Piotr Grążawski introduced students to the figure of Anna Wazówna, a princess known as the sister of King Zygmunt III Waza, but also a passionate herbalist and a person meritorious for culture.

At the end of the meeting, the student council presented Piotr Grążawski with a basket of herbs, symbolically referring to Anna Wazówna's passion. It was also an expression of gratitude for sharing knowledge and time.
