Free Mammography Screening on March 17, 2025

LUX MED Diagnostyka invites you on March 17, 2025, to the mobile mammography unit at the Palace of Anna Wazówna, 1 Zamkowa Street, Brodnica. You can take advantage of free digital mammography screenings as part of the Breast Cancer Prevention Program funded by the National Health Fund.

Screenings can be performed at any location, regardless of residence, and without a doctor's referral.

Invitation for Women

We invite women aged 45 to 74 for the screening:

• every 24 months if they have not previously been diagnosed with a malignant breast tumor;
• every 12 months if they have completed breast cancer treatment and the 5-year monitoring process after treatment;
• every 12 months if they are undergoing adjuvant hormone therapy (HT) 5 years after surgical treatment of breast cancer.

Excluded from the program are women under "Care for families at high, genetically determined risk of breast or ovarian cancer" or "Comprehensive oncological care for beneficiaries with breast cancer." When determining age, the year of birth should be taken into account.

Why it's worth it?

• Mammography is the most sensitive and specific examination in breast cancer prevention.
• Regular screenings allow for the detection of changes in the earliest stages of development, which cannot be felt during breast self-examination.
• Early-stage detected cancer is almost completely curable.
• In case of any abnormalities, participation in the program ensures a short path for additional examinations and diagnosis.
• Screenings can be performed at any location, regardless of residence, and without a doctor's referral.
