New Opportunities for Students through Military Profile Classes in Schools

Public and private secondary education authorities now have a new chance to expand their educational offerings. They can submit applications for the establishment of military profile classes in their institutions.

Application Deadlines

Applications for permission to establish such classes can be submitted until January 31, 2025. The Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration grants permissions through an administrative decision after consulting relevant institutions.

Funding for Military Profile Classes

Funding for military profile classes will mainly come from the budget allocated for educational tasks. Additionally, the ministry has the option to provide targeted grants for the operation of these classes.

Training and Benefits for Graduates

Students in military profile classes will be prepared for service in the Police or Border Guard, through classes conducted in cooperation with these units. Graduates who decide to join the Police or Border Guard within three years of graduation will be able to benefit from several privileges, such as exemption from knowledge tests and physical fitness tests, if they meet certain conditions.

Military profile classes were introduced into the Education Law on December 14, 2016, by virtue of the amendment of October 1, 2024.
