An act worthy of praise
Last Saturday, October 24th, Aspirant Krystian Moryson of the Brodnica Police proved that being a police officer is a lifelong commitment. While off-duty, he spotted a Volvo driver who caused a collision and attempted to flee the scene.
Pursuit and apprehension
The officer did not remain indifferent. Following a short pursuit and a foot chase through nearby properties, Aspirant Moryson successfully detained a 31-year-old resident of the Bartniczka municipality. A breathalyzer test revealed nearly 3 per mille of alcohol in his system.
Severe consequences
The man has had his driver's license revoked and will face trial. Due to the high blood alcohol concentration, under current regulations, his vehicle is subject to forfeiture. The perpetrator faces up to 3 years in prison.
