The best of the best in duty service

The provincial stage of the 6th edition of the National Duty Officer Tournament took place at the Regional Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz. 19 officers from across the region competed for the top title.

Competition details

Participants were tested on their theoretical knowledge and practical skills through a duty simulation. The assessment covered not only legal knowledge but also proficiency in IT systems and communication with the public.

Tournament winners

  • 1st place: Chief Commissioner Tomasz Zieliński (Chełmno County Police) – will represent the region in the national finals.
  • 2nd place: Sub-commissioner Maciej Dyląg (Włocławek City Police).
  • 3rd place: Aspirant Bartosz Głowacki (Brodnica County Police).

Next steps

The winner, Chief Commissioner Tomasz Zieliński, will compete against the best duty officers in the country from November 18-20, 2026, at the Police Academy in Katowice.
