Who is subject to the inspection?
The Mayor of Brodnica has announced the commencement of periodic inspections for owners of non-residential properties. This obligation arises from the Act on maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities and applies to premises such as offices, shops, manufacturing plants, educational institutions, as well as service and catering establishments.
What is required during the inspection?
Property owners will be required to present:
- A valid waste disposal contract with a company holding the necessary permits (the register is available in the Public Information Bulletin of the Brodnica City Hall).
- Proof of payment for waste collection services.
- Confirmation of selective waste collection in accordance with current regulations (paper, glass, metals/plastics, bio-waste, and residual waste).
Consequences of non-compliance
Failure to provide the required documents or failure to hold a contract may result in the initiation of administrative proceedings and the imposition of a fine.
