16-year-old from Brodnica detained for drug possession – case heading to court

Incident involving a minor

Officers from the Brodnica police station detained a 16-year-old found in possession of illicit substances. The incident took place on August 5, 2026, during a routine patrol.

Seized substances

Police confiscated a total of 7.56g of marijuana and 14.83g of amphetamine. Following necessary processing at the station, the minor was handed over to the custody of a legal guardian.

Legal consequences

The fate of the teenager will now be decided by the Family and Juvenile Court at the District Court in Brodnica. Police urge parents to exercise greater supervision over their children's activities during the summer holidays, warning of the risks of demoralization and the dangers of drug use.
