Promotion to the rank of Senior Inspector for Jakub Gorczyński

During the central Police Day celebrations held on July 24, 2026, in Warsaw, the Regional Police Commander in Bydgoszcz, Jakub Gorczyński, was promoted to the rank of Senior Inspector (nadinspektor). The ceremony, attended by state officials, honored his distinguished career.

A career shaped by dedication

Jakub Gorczyński began his police service in 1994 in Poznań. Over nearly three decades, he gained extensive experience across various roles in the Greater Poland and Radom regions. Since February 2024, he has led the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Police, focusing on modernization and building strong community partnerships.

Modernization and community engagement

Under his command, the region has seen improved operational capabilities, including the establishment of Rapid Response Groups in Toruń and Włocławek. He also prioritizes the force's history, expanding the Museum Chamber and supporting numerous educational and charitable projects. On July 27, 2026, his staff held a formal reception to welcome him following his promotion.
