Ceremonial Celebration of the 107th Anniversary of the State Police

Ceremony in Warsaw

On July 24, 2026, the central celebration of the 107th anniversary of the State Police took place at Piłsudski Square in Warsaw. The event brought together state officials, military commanders, and foreign delegations to honor the efforts of police officers and civilian staff.

General Nominations and Promotions

During the roll call, President Karol Nawrocki presented general nominations to four officers. Additionally, 201 graduates of the Police Academy in Szczytno received their first officer rank, and new officers of the Warsaw garrison took their solemn oath.

Challenges to Security

Police Commander-in-Chief, Gen. insp. Marek Boroń, emphasized the need for continuous development. In the face of hybrid threats and organized crime, work is underway to establish the National Investigative Bureau of the Police to enhance operational effectiveness.

Awards and Recognition

The ceremony included the presentation of hundreds of decorations, including Medals for Merit to the Police. Government representatives, including Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister Marcin Kierwiński, highlighted the crucial role of the Polish Police in maintaining Poland's status as one of the safest countries in the world.
