Support for Brodnica WOPR: County invests in water safety

Investment in Rescue Services

Brodnica County actively supports the local WOPR (Water Volunteer Rescue Service) by providing funds for modern rescue equipment. Through the implementation of the „Investment in Safety” project, rescuers have received support in the form of specialized clothing, kayaks, and first-aid kits.

Symbolic Acknowledgment

On Wednesday, July 8, representatives of the WOPR Preventive Group of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Brodnica – Krzysztof Roznerski and Adam Janiszewski – presented official acknowledgments from the Voivodeship Marshal and the WOPR President to Starosta Arkadiusz Orłowski and Deputy Starosta Piotr Burkiewicz.

Safety on the Lakeland

Over the last several months, the county has allocated approximately 20,000 PLN in financial and material support for WOPR. The results of these efforts are tangible: thanks to professional equipment and the dedication of the rescuers, there have been no drownings recorded on the guarded waters of the Brodnica Lakeland in recent years.
