Safe Summer: Police and firefighters inspect youth camps in the region

Security measures for children's holiday spots

Between July 6th and 10th, 2026, officers from the Brodnica police department, in cooperation with the State Fire Service, conducted a series of inspections at children's summer holiday locations and scout camps.

Education and prevention

During the visits, the officers focused on educational aspects. The youth attended lectures on:

• summer safety rules,
• criminal responsibility of minors,
• procedures to follow when losing or finding items and documents.

Practical evacuation training

A key part of every inspection involved practical drills. Simulated evacuations for severe storms were conducted, during which the participants learned how to behave in crisis situations and what items to take with them in case of an emergency evacuation.
