Safety First
With the upcoming 2026 summer season, police have announced increased patrols on the roads of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region. The priority is to ensure smooth and safe traffic, especially in holiday destinations.
Preparation Before Travel
Before hitting the road, verify your vehicle's technical condition (including lights, brakes, and tire pressure) and check that you have essential equipment like a warning triangle and fire extinguisher.
Safe Driving Rules
- Adjust your speed to road and weather conditions.
- Always wear your seatbelts.
- Drive sober – even a small amount of alcohol significantly impairs reaction time.
- Avoid driving while tired; plan regular breaks.
Coach Inspections
The police emphasize the safety of children. Parents can request a spontaneous inspection of buses before trips. It is also recommended to use the website bezpiecznyautobus.gov.pl to check a vehicle's technical status and insurance validity.
Traffic Restrictions
From June 26 to August 30, 2026, traffic restrictions apply to vehicles with a permissible total weight exceeding 12 tonnes at specific times (Fridays 18:00-22:00, Saturdays 08:00-14:00, Sundays 08:00-22:00, and August 15 from 08:00-22:00).
