Triumph of Police Officers from Golub-Dobrzyń: Provincial Eliminations of "Patrol of the Year 2026" Concluded!

Kuyavian-Pomeranian Police Officers Crowned the Best in "Patrol of the Year 2026" Eliminations!

On June 8-9, 2026, thrilling provincial eliminations for the XXX national final of the Police Prevention Officers' Competition "Patrol of the Year 2026" took place. This significant event gathered 42 officers representing all municipal and district police headquarters from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Winners and Participants

The competition involved police officers serving in patrol or intervention units, previously selected in local district competitions. Each headquarters fielded a two-person patrol, with the exception of Bydgoszcz and Toruń, which could enter two teams each. After intense competition, the crew from the District Police Headquarters in Golub-Dobrzyń, consisting of Junior Aspirant Radosław Drapiewski and Sergeant Mateusz Romanowski, stood at the top of the podium – our heartfelt congratulations!

Competitions That Tested All Skills

The officers had to demonstrate versatility in five demanding competitions:

  • Professional knowledge test
  • Self-defense techniques test
  • Shooting skills test
  • Physical fitness test
  • First aid provision (including massive hemorrhage treatment)

Other Podium Finishers

The battle for top spots was fierce. Second place went to the patrol from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Włocławek, comprising Sergeant Filip Baurski and Sergeant Paweł Mirolewicz. In third place were the officers from the District Police Headquarters in Inowrocław: Sergeant Igor Gradkowski and Senior Constable Piotr Kosierb.

More Than Just Competition

The primary goal of the eliminations, beyond selecting the best, was to enhance the professional skills of the officers. It was an excellent opportunity to test theoretical knowledge, physical fitness, shooting skills, and practical intervention and life-saving techniques.

Official Award Ceremony

The podium teams were honored with trophies and awards. These were presented by Deputy Provincial Police Commander in Bydgoszcz, Inspector Jacek Witas, on behalf of the Provincial Police Commander in Bydgoszcz, Inspector Jakub Gorczyński. Support in honoring the winners was also provided by the Provincial Board of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union of Police Officers of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (represented by Sub-inspector Maciej Baranowski) and the IPA Polish Section Kuyavian-Pomeranian Provincial Group (represented by President Krzysztof Rozpędowskiego).

Road to the Final in Słupsk

The patrols that secured first and second place in the provincial eliminations will represent the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz at the national final in Słupsk. This final will take place from September 8-11, 2026, at the Police School in Słupsk. We wish good luck to all participants, especially the representatives from Kuyavian-Pomeranian!
