Brodnica's Young Boxers Dominate at Polish Championships – The District Thanks Its Champions!

The Brodnica District has honored its young heroes of the ring! Brodnica District Head Arkadiusz Orłowski and Deputy District Head Piotr Burkwicz met with the medalists of this year's Polish Youth Boxing Championships and their coach to personally congratulate them on their spectacular successes and thank them for honorably representing the region.

Gold and Bronze Straight from Gostyń

The Polish Championships, held in Gostyń from April 21-26, proved to be extremely fruitful for the representatives of "Gladiator" Boxing Club Brodnica. The athletes, proudly displaying the district's coat of arms on their jerseys, returned with medals, earning the admiration of the entire community.

Polish Champion Adam Policht!

The greatest triumph was achieved by Adam Policht, who won a gold medal and the prestigious title of Polish Champion in the up to 75 kg category. In a fierce final, he defeated Szymon Dudko from the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. What's more, his victory was the only gold medal won by male representatives of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship during these championships!

As coach Dariusz Polmański emphasized, this was Adam's debut competitive season. Despite only two years of training at the Brodnica club and only his tenth fight in his career, Adam showed extraordinary strength and determination.

Bronze Medal for Julia Przeracka

Julia Przeracka also stood on the podium, winning a bronze medal in the up to 57 kg category. Despite a slight health indisposition, Julia fought a very even semifinal bout against Maja Pietrzak, proving her high athletic level and indomitable character.

Recognition and Support at the District Office

On May 21, a ceremonial meeting took place at the Brodnica district office, during which District Head Arkadiusz Orłowski and Deputy District Head Piotr Burkwicz presented congratulatory letters to the athletes and coach Dariusz Polmański. The coach, on behalf of the "Gladiator" club, thanked the district authorities for their invaluable support.

Local government officials stressed that the athletes' successes are not just results, but also a testament to the values that sport embodies: perseverance, systematicity, ambition, and consistency in pursuing goals. They expressed conviction that these medals are just the beginning of further, even greater achievements.

Brodnica: A Cradle of Talents

Coach Polmański's dedication and the hard work of young athletes from "Gladiator" Boxing Club Brodnica strengthen the region's high position in Polish youth boxing. Adam and Julia's successes are an inspiration and proof that Brodnica and the Brodnica district are home to extraordinary talents who, with support and hard work, can reach the top.
