Artistically and Sportily – An Unforgettable Children's Day at ZSS in Brodnica

On Monday, June 1st, the Special School Complex (ZSS) in Brodnica echoed with joy and laughter during the Children's Day celebrations. This year's holiday was full of attractions, integrating the school community and providing unforgettable emotions. The event aimed to promote active and healthy leisure, develop cooperation among students, and build an atmosphere of kindness, mutual respect, and good fun.

Special Guests and Heartfelt Wishes

The ceremony was honored by the presence of representatives of the Brodnica Poviat: Deputy Starost Piotr Burkwicz and Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport Dorota Bibik. Also present was the Director of the Psychological-Pedagogical Counseling Center in Brodnica, Hanna Królikowska. Together with the Director of ZSS, Anna Słomińska, they extended warm wishes to the students. Deputy Starost Piotr Burkwicz presented the children with a basket full of sweet treats from the Brodnica Poviat Board, including greetings from Starost Arkadiusz Orłowski. The ceremony was also attended by students, teachers, school staff, and parents.

The Magic of Theatre: "Snow White"

The celebration began with an unforgettable performance of "Snow White," prepared by Deputy Director Iwona Roszak and Jolanta Król. The school's teachers took on the roles of the fairy tale characters, delighting the audience with their acting talent, sense of humor, and full commitment. The play was enthusiastically received and awarded with thunderous applause, serving as a fantastic artistic introduction to further attractions.

Sports Excitement and Outdoor Integration

After the official and artistic part, participants moved from the school hall to the outdoors, where numerous sports games awaited them – individual, team, and dexterity competitions. There was no shortage of healthy competition and shared fun. A football match between students and teachers generated particular excitement, providing many reasons for smiles and enthusiastic cheering. The sports challenges were an excellent opportunity to strengthen cooperation and integration.

A Sweet Ending Full of Flavors

All the athletes were treated to well-deserved refreshments. Students could enjoy grilled sausages, sweets, juices, and bubblegum-flavored ice cream, which proved to be a real hit. Additionally, each child received a special sweet gift, prepared specifically for their holiday, further emphasizing the uniqueness of the day.

Shared Fun and Thanks

The event concluded with a joint dance party, which filled the school with positive energy, smiles, and conversations. The rich program of attractions allowed participants to spend time in a family-like atmosphere, strengthening friendships and a sense of community. Refreshments and gifts for the children were prepared thanks to the support and involvement of the Parents' Council, to whom the school community extended heartfelt thanks. Agnieszka Mianecka and Katarzyna Jackiewicz oversaw the smooth running of the entire ceremony, while Iwona Roszak and Jolanta Król were responsible for the artistic part.

This year's Children's Day at ZSS in Brodnica will long remain in the memories of participants as a celebration full of joy, integration, and shared moments, during which every child could feel important, appreciated, and happy.
