Police Officers Celebrated Children's Day with Residents of Bartniczka and Szabda Communes
BARTNICZKA / SZABDA – Police officers actively participated in Children's Day celebrations, organizing and taking part in events promoting safety and the police profession. The main festivities took place in Nowe Świerczyny in Bartniczka Commune and at the Primary School in Szabda.
Family Picnic in Nowe Świerczyny
On Monday, June 1st, a "Family Picnic for Children's Day" was held in Nowe Świerczyny, organized by the Head of Bartniczka Commune, Mr. Piotr Ruciński. Officers from the Górzno Police Post prepared a rich program of attractions for children and their parents.
At the police stand, children had the opportunity to get a close look at the equipment used in daily service, police cars, and motorcycles. The demonstration of a service dog's training, presented by Staff Sergeant Marian Auguściński from the District Police Headquarters in Rypin, garnered immense interest. The dog showcased its search skills, which delighted the audience.
Adults also found something for themselves – they could test alco- and drug goggles, learning about the effects of intoxicants on perception and coordination, and participate in related disciplines, such as hitting a ball into a bucket. Officers led numerous competitions, games, and educational attractions, as well as discussions on safe road use and behavior in hazardous situations. Parents received valuable tips on ensuring children's safety during summer holidays.
Promotion of the Police Profession and Lecture in Szabda
The picnic was also an excellent opportunity to promote the police profession. Officers spoke about the specifics of the service, career development opportunities, and specializations available in the Police force. Interested candidates could obtain detailed information on the recruitment process, requirements for applicants, and the benefits of serving society.
On the same day, Junior Staff Sergeant Dawid Lorek, a community police officer, visited children at the Primary School in Szabda. He delivered a lecture on safety, and all participants received reflective elements. At the conclusion of all events, children at the picnic also received reflective elements from the police officers.
The Police thank the organizers for the invitation and the opportunity to celebrate Children's Day together, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with local communities in promoting safety.
