NEW HEAVY RESCUE AND FIREFIGHTING VEHICLE STRENGTHENS OSP SZCZUKA

Last week, the Volunteer Fire Department (OSP) in Szczuka received an invaluable reinforcement! On May 7, 2026, a modern and powerful heavy rescue and firefighting vehicle arrived at the unit, significantly raising the level of safety for residents.

Powerful Reinforcement for OSP Szczuka

The acquired vehicle is a GCBA 5/32 Scania P380 from 2009, which previously served with distinction in Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 1 in Włocławek. The official handover was conducted by Minister Tomasz Szymański, whose support in this process was invaluable.

Unprecedented Benefits for the Municipality – Free of Charge!

It's worth emphasizing that the vehicle was acquired completely free of charge! Its current market value is several hundred thousand zlotys, which represents enormous support for OSP Szczuka, without burdening the municipal budget by a single zloty. This is an excellent example of intelligent management of emergency services equipment in our country.

Greater Safety for Residents

The new vehicle is a milestone in increasing the safety of the local community. The GCBA 5/32 is a heavy-class vehicle, equipped with a 5000-liter water tank and foam agents. This means significantly greater capabilities for extinguishing fires in various terrains – both in built-up areas and in fields, forests, or along roads.
