Brodnica County Secures Million-Dollar Funding: Boost for Foster Care and Education

Brodnica is gaining significant financial support! Brodnica County has secured over 3 million PLN in funding under the regional program European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie 2021–2027. These funds will be allocated to key investments in foster care and education.

Official Agreement Handover Ceremony in Toruń

The ceremony for handing over the funding agreements took place on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Marshal's Office in Toruń. On behalf of Brodnica County, the documents were received by the county treasurer, Katarzyna Koszewska. The total value of support for Kujawsko-Pomorskie self-governments, handed over that day, amounted to nearly 50 million PLN.

Two Key Projects for the County's Future

The awarded funds will be distributed for the implementation of two strategic projects:

1. Construction of a Family Foster Home in Brzozie

• Amount of support: 2.5 million PLN.
• Total cost: 4.26 million PLN.
• Location: Brzozie Commune.
• Objective: To create living conditions as close to a home environment as possible for foster care residents. The facility will include living space, rooms for learning and play, and comprehensive social facilities.

2. "Competence is Key to Career - Edition II"

• Project value: 904 thousand PLN.
• Funding amount: 814 thousand PLN.
• Beneficiaries: Students and teachers from two secondary schools – I Liceum Ogólnokształcącego in Brodnica and the high school in Zespół Szkół in Jabłonowo Pomorskie.
• Scope of activities: Additional educational classes for youth aimed at developing key competencies, and specialized training for pedagogical staff.

These investments represent a significant step in local development, ensuring a better future for both children in need of care and young people developing their educational and professional prospects.
