Polish-German Cooperation Week at I LO in Brodnica

I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Brodnica had the honor of hosting students and teachers from Erwitte, Germany, as part of a youth exchange program. Over the week, participants, both guests and hosts, integrated and took part in a rich program that introduced the German students to Polish culture and history.

During the official welcome, attendees included the Brodnica County Starosta Paweł Szramka, the Head of the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports in Brodnica Dorota Bibik, the school principal Marzena Łupińska, and the German guests. All exchange participants were warmly welcomed, and the Starosta presented souvenirs from Brodnica County.

The first day began with getting acquainted with the school’s history, including a joint dance of the polonaise. Students worked on a project related to Polish-German contacts, and in the evening visited the Astrobaza to admire the planets.

Subsequent days included a visit to Warsaw, where students had the opportunity to see the Polish Parliament and visit the "Wedel" chocolate factory. In Toruń, they wandered through the Old Town, and on the last day, they presented the results of their project work.

After a week full of experiences, the German students returned to Erwitte, and their stay will undoubtedly result in new friendships and future cooperation.
