Free Mammography Screenings in Brodnica – Take Care of Your Health!

Residents of Brodnica and its surrounding areas have a unique opportunity to undergo free mammography screenings, which are a crucial element in breast cancer prevention. In March and April 2026, three screening dates will be held, conducted by different operators as part of the Breast Cancer Prevention Program.

Why is Mammography So Important?

Mammography is the most effective method for early detection of breast cancer. The earlier the disease is diagnosed, the greater the chances of successful treatment. Awareness and regular screenings are fundamental in the fight against this disease.

Who Can Benefit from the Screenings?

Free mammography screenings under the program are available to women aged 45 to 74, typically once every 2 years. An exception applies to women with a genetic predisposition (mother, sister, or daughter had breast cancer) – they are eligible for screening once a year.

Additional criteria for LUX MED Diagnostyka:

Women born in 1981 can participate for the first time in 2026.
Women who have completed breast cancer treatment and a 5-year monitoring process: every 12 months.
Women who, after 5 years from surgical breast cancer treatment, are undergoing supplementary hormone therapy (HT): every 12 months.

Women covered by "Care for families with a high, genetically determined risk of breast or ovarian cancer" or "Comprehensive oncological care for a beneficiary with breast cancer" are excluded from the program.

The Geneva Trust Polska mammobus will be available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Anna Wazówna Palace, ul. Zamkowa 1 in Brodnica. Screenings include completing a questionnaire and performing 4 projections.
