Brodnica County Has a New Treasurer: Katarzyna Koszewska Appointed to the Position

Brodnica County is pleased to announce its new treasurer – Ms. Katarzyna Koszewska. Her nomination was unanimously approved by the councilors during the XXVIII session of the Brodnica County Council, which took place on Thursday, March 12.

Unanimous Council Decision

The decision to appoint Katarzyna Koszewska to this key position was made without objection. The candidate, recommended by County Head Arkadiusz Orłowski, received 18 "for" votes. Only one councilor was absent during the voting, highlighting widespread support for the new treasurer.

Experience and Education

Ms. Koszewska is an experienced specialist with a rich educational and professional portfolio. She is a graduate of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where she obtained a master's degree in law in 2003. She further enhanced her qualifications in 2013, completing postgraduate studies at the Wyższa Szkoła Bankowa in Toruń, specializing in "Accounting and Financial Management."

She has been continuously associated with the Financial Department of the Brodnica County Office since 2004. During this time, she held numerous positions, successively expanding her competencies. Her previous responsibilities included:

• analysis of the county budget execution,
• preparation of budget reports,
• preparation of financial plan drafts and budget amendments,
• accounting for county revenues.

Since 2024, she has served as the chief accountant of the Brodnica County Office, where she was responsible for supervising the proper implementation of the budget and managing the financial department team.

Following the official election, congratulations were extended to the new treasurer by representatives of the Brodnica County Board, the presidium of the County Council, councilors, and representatives of the financial department of the Brodnica County Office.
