XXIII National Competition 'Safe Farm': Ensure Safety and Win Awards!

The President of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS), Tomasz Ślusarczyk, is pleased to invite all farm owners to participate in the prestigious XXIII National Competition 'Safe Farm'. This initiative, held under the Honorary Patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, is a unique opportunity to promote and implement safety principles in agricultural work.

Co-organizers and Competition Objective

The competition, co-organized by key institutions such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the National Labour Inspectorate, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, and the National Centre for Agricultural Support, has one overarching goal: to promote health and life protection principles on farms. It is aimed at individual farm owners, provided that at least one owner is covered by farmers' social insurance. The size of the farm does not matter – owners of both small and large agricultural areas are welcome!

What Participants Gain

Participation in the competition is not only a chance to showcase one's workplace and professional achievements but also an opportunity to win attractive material and financial prizes. Moreover, every participant gains access to a professional farm work safety audit, conducted by experienced competition committees.

Evaluation Process and Committee Composition

During the elimination rounds, competition committees meticulously assess whether health and safety principles are applied in practice and whether all accident hazards have been effectively eliminated. These committees comprise distinguished specialists in agricultural occupational safety and health, representing institutions such as the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund, the National Labour Inspectorate, Agricultural Advisory Centers, Volunteer Fire Brigades, and other entities actively involved in the rural environment.

History and Successes of the Competition

The 'Safe Farm' Competition has a long and rich history, dating back to 2003. It has been continuously implemented as part of broad efforts to reduce the number of work-related accidents and occupational diseases in agriculture. To date, over 25,000 farms have participated in its twenty-two editions. It is worth mentioning that laureates of previous editions received incredibly valuable prizes, including even agricultural tractors for the winners!
