The Brodnica Social Services Center (BCUS) is pleased to announce the signing of a key contract that will significantly improve the accessibility of the facility for all residents. On March 3, 2026, the Director of BCUS, acting under the authorization of Brodnica Mayor Jarosław Radacz, entered into a contract for the implementation of the task titled "Purchase and installation of an elevator in the Brodnica Social Services Center".

Investment Details

The project, implemented as part of the broader initiative "Brodnica Social Services Center - provision of social services for residents of the City of Brodnica Commune," will be carried out under a "design and build" formula. The contractor for the task will be the company Bogumił Czerwiński USŁUGI W BUDOWNICTWIE "PERSPEKTYWA”. The total value of the contract amounts to 553,500.00 PLN.

Funding and Purpose

The investment is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus, within Priority 8 "European funds for support in the area of the labor market, education, and social inclusion," Measure 8.24 "Social and health services," from the European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie program. The main goal of the undertaking is to adapt the public utility facility to ensure full accessibility for people with special needs, including those with disabilities.

Scope of Work and Completion Date

The task involves a wide range of works, including:

  • Preparation of design documentation for the expansion of the BCUS building.
  • Expansion of the building entrance.
  • Construction of an elevator shaft and installation of an elevator with a capacity of 630 kg (8 persons).
  • Adaptation works inside the building.
  • Replacement of windows and doors.
  • Execution of fire protection measures.

The completion of all works is scheduled for November 2026.
