Car Collides with Locomotive in Konojady

Today, around 9:40 AM, a car collided with a locomotive at an unguarded railway crossing in Konojady. Fortunately, none of the participants sustained serious injuries.

According to police investigations, a 65-year-old resident of the Brodnica district, driving a Hyundai, ignored the STOP sign and entered the tracks directly in front of the approaching train. The locomotive was performing a technical run and had three people on board.

As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The car driver was fined 1050 PLN and received 10 penalty points.
