Conference at the Marshal's Office in Toruń dedicated to S15

On January 22, 2026, at 11:30 AM, a conference was held at the Marshal's Office in Toruń, during which the results of the conceptual analysis of the S15 expressway route were presented. The event, organized by Marshal Piotr Całbecki, brought together local government officials from the region, including a large representation of municipalities from the Brodnica district, represented by Deputy Starost Piotr Burkwicz.

Signing of the Declaration

During the conference, a declaration on the construction of the S15 expressway was solemnly signed. The concept of the new route is largely based on the existing national road No. 15, although it introduces some changes compared to the current route.

S15 Route

The current national road No. 15 is approximately 374 km long and connects Ostróda with Trzebnica, running through Brodnica and Toruń, among others. The planned S15 is to connect Olsztyn with Opole, running through Brodnica and Toruń, with a length of over 470 km.

Importance for the Region

It was emphasized that the construction of the S15 will be of key importance for the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, improving the accessibility of Inowrocław and Brodnica, as well as the Brodnica, Rypin and other districts. Deputy Starost Piotr Burkwicz expressed hope for a quick transition from concept to implementation, emphasizing the importance of the road for the Brodnica district.
