"The Beauty of Carols" Resonated in Pokrzydowo!

On January 10th, the "Beauty of Carols" Christmas Carol Festival took place in Pokrzydowo for the third time. This event, conceived and organized by the "Pokrzydowianki" group, is slowly becoming a local tradition.

Festival in the Church and Gala in the Community Center

The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pokrzydowo transformed into a festival concert hall. The event was hosted by Barbara Kopańska, the initiator of the review. Official guests were also among the audience.

Ten performers presented themselves on stage: groups "Wszyscy Razem" from Brzozie, "Radoszczanie" from Radoszki, "Lawenda" from Ciche, "Wrzosy" from Lubawa, "Wesołe Kumoszki" from Zbiczno, "Byle Babki" from Łąkorz, "Anibabki" from Kurzętnik, "Karbowianie", "Pokrzydowianki", and soloists – Iwona Smolińska and Jadzia from Cygan. After the concert in the church, the festival statuette award gala took place in the community center in Pokrzydowo, during which Jadzia from Cygan performed.

Congratulations and Thanks

The performers were congratulated by the mayor of the Zbiczno commune, Magdalena Golubska, the county councilor Krzysztof Jasieniecki, and Fr. Wojciech Dembek, the parish priest of the Pokrzydowo parish. All bands and soloists received diplomas and commemorative angel statuettes.

The festival was organized in cooperation with local partners, sponsors and patrons of culture, including the Zbiczno Commune, the Brodnica County, KGW Pokrzydowo, GOKSiR Zbiczno, the Association for the Development of the Village of Pokrzydowo and Surroundings, the Pokrzydowo Village Council and the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pokrzydowo.
