Operation "Winter" in Brodnica: Police Help the Homeless

Police officers in Brodnica are conducting intensive activities as part of Operation "Winter" to protect the homeless from the effects of low temperatures. Officers regularly patrol places where people in homelessness crisis may be staying, such as train stations, bus stops, allotment gardens, abandoned buildings, and stairwells.

Activities of district officers in the Zbiczno Commune

Staff Aspirant Daniel Krzyżanowski and Aspirant Leszek Matusiak, district officers from the Zbiczno commune, supported a family in need on Friday, January 9, by buying them groceries. They also checked if they needed help obtaining fuel.

Assistance to a man in Sumówko

While checking an abandoned building in Sumówko, police officers found a 59-year-old homeless man. They offered him assistance and then transported him to a shelter in Brodnica, where he received shelter and food.

Police Appeal

The police appeal for a reaction when we see a person threatened with hypothermia. Contact the services at 112, GOPS, Brodnica Social Services Center, or indicate the location of a homeless person using the National Security Threat Map. One phone call can save a life!
