Defense Training Held in the Brodnica Chemical Regiment

On December 18, 2025, at 10:40 AM, a pilot training session was held in the 4th Brodnica Chemical Regiment named after Ignacy Mościcki, as part of the general voluntary defense training program. This training was initiated by the decision of the Minister of National Defense No. 156 of November 4, 2025, signed by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Purpose of the Training

The goal of the pilot "General Voluntary Defense Training Program" is to raise public defense awareness and increase resilience to threats.

Course of the Training

Col. Jarosław Żochowski, commander of the 4th Brodnica Chemical Regiment, welcomed the participants. Enrollment for the training, which lasted from November 5 to December 14, was possible through the Mobywatel application, by selecting a course on safety, first aid, survival, and cyber hygiene. Two groups were formed in the regiment: one focused on first aid (pre-medical rescue, battlefield medicine, AED defibrillator), and the other on survival skills (evacuation backpack, hiding planning, terrain knowledge, survival).

The eight-hour training was organized to be attractive and useful, giving participants skills useful in emergency situations.

Conclusion

The training ended with an appeal during which participants received certificates from Col. Jarosław Żochowski. Finally, military pea soup was served, and there was an opportunity to exchange experiences around the campfire.
