Karol Lis to Head the District Road Administration

The District Road Administration in Brodnica has a new director! Karol Lis, an experienced local government official, engineer, and long-time employee of the DRA, has been selected for the position following a recruitment process.

Official appointment ceremony

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the Starost of Brodnica, Arkadiusz Orłowski, and the Vice-Starost, Piotr Burkwicz, officially presented the appointment to the new director. They congratulated Karol Lis on taking office and wished him success in fulfilling his entrusted tasks.

New director's qualifications and experience

Karol Lis is a graduate of the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz (now Bydgoszcz University of Technology). He graduated in transport engineering, mechanics and machine construction, and civil engineering. He has been associated with the District Road Administration in Brodnica since 2014, and since July 2019 he has been the head of the Technical Unit.

Starost's words

Starost Arkadiusz Orłowski expressed his hope that the appointment of Karol Lis as director would contribute to improving the operation of the District Road Administration. He stressed that the new director faces many challenges related to organizing matters and improving the functioning of the unit.
