XXVIII County Christmas Carol and Pastoral Festival in Brodnica: Young Talents Impress!

On Monday, January 12, 2026, the Brodnica Cultural Center (BDK) hosted the XXVIII County Christmas Carol and Pastoral Festival. This annual event, organized by the BDK and under the patronage of the Starosta of Brodnica, brought together vocally talented youth from schools in Brodnica and the Brodnica County.

Opening Ceremony and Speeches

The director of BDK, Małgorzata Miętkiewicz, welcomed the participants, guardians, and guests. The Deputy Starosta Piotr Burkwicz officially opened the festival, emphasizing its long-standing tradition and importance to the local community. Councillor Przemysław Górski represented the Chairman of the County Council.

Performances and Jury

Over 40 performers from primary and secondary schools presented a Christmas repertoire on the BDK stage. The young vocalists were judged by a jury consisting of: Bernadeta Leśniak, Joanna Godlewska, and Małgorzata Miętkiewicz.

Festival Laureates

After the auditions, the jury selected the laureates in various age categories. Prizes funded by the Brodnica County were presented by Deputy Starosta Piotr Burkwicz along with the jury members. The full list of winners is below:
