New life-saving equipment in Brodnica

First aid is crucial in life-threatening situations. A quick response before the arrival of medical services can save lives.

Purchase of modern equipment

In December 2025, the Municipality of Brodnica purchased modern first aid equipment. It will be delivered to schools, cultural institutions and sports facilities, creating a local AED point network.

Equipment purchased by the municipality:

• 3 first aid point sets (metal cabinets with equipment)
• 12 sets of semi-automatic AED defibrillators
• 2 dedicated AED training defibrillators
• 20 sets of wall-mounted first aid kits with equipment

Equipment details:

• Semi-automatic AED defibrillators: Easy to use, guides the user step by step. They have voice commands and visual cues, minimizing the risk of errors. They meet military standards MIL-STD-810G.
• AED training defibrillators: Training devices that replicate the functions of a medical AED. They offer 8 realistic training scenarios.
• Wall-mounted first aid kits: Transparent cover, organized equipment.
• First Aid Points: Metal cabinets with equipment for rescue operations, including a portable first aid kit, dressing kits, personal protective equipment and life support tools.

Equipment distribution

The purchased equipment will be delivered to municipal schools, cultural institutions and sports facilities in Brodnica, to create an AED network.

Costs and financing

The purchase cost was PLN 98,699.83. The purchase was financed by a grant from the state budget provided by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivode.
