Prevention in Gorczenica: Students Learn Alternatives to Addiction

The Primary School named after Princess Anna Wazówna in Gorczenica implemented a municipal prevention program in November and December. 136 students from grades I-VIII and 11 teachers participated. The program focused on two priorities: "Alcohol Destroys" and "Responsible Driver."

Education and Trips

Classes, held from November 21 to December 9, aimed to raise awareness of the negative effects of addictions, especially alcoholism, and to promote responsible attitudes. Students developed skills to cope with risky behaviors and make responsible decisions.

Educational Trips

As part of the program, two educational trips were organized. On November 26, students from grades IV-VIII visited Toruń (Jump Arena), Golub-Dobrzyń (Castle) and Szafarnia (a musical audition about Chopin). On December 4, grades I-III went to Golub-Dobrzyń, Rypin (cinema) and Szafarnia.

Activity and Integration

At Jump Arena in Toruń, students participated in sports activities, showing physical activity as an alternative to risky behaviors. Visiting the Castle in Golub-Dobrzyń brought them closer to the history of the region and the need to preserve cultural heritage. In Szafarnia, they participated in an audition about Fryderyk Chopin, and a visit to the cinema in Rypin and a shared meal promoted good relationships with peers.

Road Safety

During educational trips, the importance of road safety and the negative impact of alcohol and other drugs on driving ability were emphasized.
