Ceremonial Gala of "Crystal Hearts"

On November 27, 2025, a ceremonial gala was held to present the "Crystal Hearts" - a prestigious award for police officers from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. This is the eighth edition of this event, initiated by the Board of the Voivodeship Independent Self-Governing Trade Union of Policemen of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province.

Exceptional Award for Exceptional Officers

This year, eighty police officers from city and district police stations, the Police Prevention Unit in Bydgoszcz, and the Independent Sub-Unit of Counter-Terrorist Police in Bydgoszcz received the award. The "Crystal Heart" is awarded for exemplary and dedicated service to the residents - for deeds performed both during and outside of service, to save the lives and health of others.

Course of the Ceremony

The ceremony began with a report to the Provincial Police Commander in Bydgoszcz, Inspector Jakub Gorczyński. The guests were greeted by Junior Inspector Piotr Kujawa, Chairman of the Board of the Voivodeship NSZZ Policemen of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. Among those honored were, among others, Senior Sergeant Michał Niczyporuk, Subcommissioner Dawid Gajewski, Aspirant Mateusz Banacki, Aspirant Piotr Żółtowski, Junior Aspirant Daniel Lewandowski, Junior Aspirant Dawid Lorek, Staff Sergeant Bartłomiej Plewka, Staff Sergeant Jakub Szczepaniak, Senior Sergeant Jan Wdowiak, Sergeant Kacper Kłosowski, Sergeant Piotr Wojciechowski, Senior Constable Bartosz Kozłowski from the District Police Headquarters in Brodnica, who demonstrated particular dedication in saving the lives and health of residents in the region.

Thanks and Recognition

During the ceremony, Piotr Hemmerling, First Deputy Governor of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, Inspector Jakub Gorczyński, Provincial Police Commander in Bydgoszcz, and Subinspector Kazimierz Barbachowski, Vice-Chairman of the Main Board of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union of Policemen, thanked the police officers for their invaluable service and dedication.
