European Funds Support Police in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship

Thanks to funding from the "European Funds for Kuyavia and Pomerania 2021-2027" program, the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Police have been enriched with modern equipment. The official handover took place on November 20, 2025, at the police headquarters. The Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Piotr Całbecki, symbolically handed over the equipment to the First Deputy Commander of the Provincial Police in Bydgoszcz, Inspector Marcin Woźniak.

Mobile Command Centers and Patrol Cars for Dog Handlers

Three mobile "command centers" were purchased, which will be indispensable in crisis situations. In addition, ten new patrol cars specially adapted for service dog handlers will improve their working comfort.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

The police also acquired unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). The new police cars and drones are equipment worth PLN 4,285,000, of which PLN 2,785,000 came from funding.

Project "Increasing the possibility of cooperation of rescue services..."

As part of the project, three Mercedes Sprinter cars were purchased, equipped with power generators, mobile lighting masts, a rescue tent with a heater and trailer, thermal imaging cameras and IT equipment. These vehicles will go to Bydgoszcz, Toruń and Włocławek and will be used by police officers of the Police Prevention Department in Bydgoszcz. The total value of the project is PLN 2,099,438.86, of which funding amounted to PLN 1,364,635.26.

Project "Improving the effectiveness of the use of service dogs..."

10 Toyota Proace cars were purchased, adapted to transport two officers and two dogs in boxes. These cars will go to police stations in Aleksandrów Kujawski, Brodnica, Chełmno, Grudziądz, Nakło nad Notecią, Radziejów, Sępólno Krajeńskie, Świecie, Wąbrzeźno and the Prevention Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz. The total value of the project is PLN 1,854,298.80, of which funding amounted to PLN 1,205,294.22.

Project "Purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles..."

8 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were purchased, which will support police officers in crisis situations such as fires, floods and hurricanes. UAVs will go to the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz (4 units) and to police stations in Grudziądz, Mogilno, Radziejów and Tuchola (1 unit each). The total value of the project is PLN 331,273.35, of which funding amounted to PLN 215,327.68.
