Simplified Forest Management Plans in Bartniczka and Jabłonowo Pomorskie Communes to be Approved

Around the turn of the year, the Brodnica Starost (County Executive) will approve simplified forest management plans (UPUL) for forests not owned by the State Treasury, for forest areas located in the Bartniczka and Jabłonowo Pomorskie communes.

Meeting at the County Office

At the end of October, a technical and economic meeting was held at the County Office in Brodnica regarding the developed UPUL projects for the mentioned communes. As Radosław Koj, head of the Environmental Protection Department of the Brodnica County Office, explains, simplified forest management plans are essential for managing private and municipal forests not owned by the State Treasury. They define the principles of forest management, such as conducting work, nature conservation, and maintaining resources. Supervision of private forests and the preparation of UPUL is the responsibility of the Starost.

Details of the Plans

The plans contain economic indications and maintenance treatments to be carried out in private forests between 2026 and 2035. During field inspections, experts positively assessed the work performed and the entries in the project. The implementation of UPUL is co-financed from the Forest Fund with an amount of PLN 17,000, with a total project cost of PLN 37,000.
