Independence Day Celebrations in Brodnica and Brodnica County

From November 7th to 11th, 2025, Brodnica and Brodnica County solemnly celebrated the 107th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence. The Mayor of Brodnica, the Starosta of Brodnica, and the Commander of the 4th Brodnica Chemical Regiment invited residents to a series of events commemorating this important holiday.

Patriotic Maneuvers

The celebrations began on Friday, November 7th, with Patriotic Maneuvers organized by the "Na Wiejskiej" Association. Young people participating in the maneuvers visited the Brodnica County Starosty, where they learned about the history of the county and the starosty building.

November 10th Celebrations

Monday, November 10th, was a day full of celebrations. It began with an appeal in the barracks of the 4th Brodnica Chemical Regiment, where soldiers received acts of appointment and awards. Then, at 10:00 AM, a holy mass was held in the parish church in intention of the Homeland. At 12:30 PM, flowers were laid at the Monument of Gratitude, paying tribute to those who fought for Poland's independence. The official city-county ceremony took place in Anna Wazówna's Palace, where medals were awarded to deserving residents of the county. In the evening, at 5:00 PM, a military tattoo took place on the Main Market Square.

Gala Concert

The celebrations ended on Tuesday, November 11th, with a gala concert by the Bydgoszcz Philharmonic, which took place at the Brodnica Cultural Center.
