Change in the position of commander of the Fisheries Guard in Brodnica County

On November 1, 2025, Robert Melkowski took over the position of commander of the Social Fisheries Guard of Brodnica County, replacing Lech Sadowski, who held this position for 17 years, since 2008. The decision to appoint him was made by the Brodnica Starosta Paweł Szramka, issuing Ordinance No. 34/2025.

The ceremonial handover of duties took place on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Brodnica County Starosty Office. The meeting was attended by, among others, representatives of the Toruń District of the Polish Angling Association, the outgoing commander Lech Sadowski, the new commander Robert Melkowski and Starosta Paweł Szramka.

The Starosta and representatives of the PAA in Toruń thanked Lech Sadowski for his many years of work for the protection of water and the natural environment.

Robert Melkowski has been associated with the Social Fisheries Guard since 2008 and has extensive experience in water protection. Professionally, he works as a water protection guard in the Toruń District of the PAA.
