Municipal Mathematical Competition for grades 2-3

On October 28, 2025, the Municipal Mathematical Competition for grades 2-3 took place at the Janusz Korczak Primary School in Szabda. The competition involved students from the Primary School in Gorczenica, the Primary School in Gortatowo with its seat in Szczuka, the Branch School in Cielęta, and the Primary School in Szabda.

Competition Course

Participants solved various mathematical tasks tailored to their age groups. The groups were mixed, consisting of students from different schools. The competition committee continuously checked the correctness of the solutions and awarded points.

Participants and Committee

The competition involved 24 students (12 second graders and 12 third graders). The committee consisted of early childhood education teachers: Marika Marciniak, Emilia Brdak – Romanowska, and Marzanna Kwas. The committee ensured the proper conduct of the competition in accordance with the regulations.

Results and Awards

After summarizing the scores, winning groups were selected in the categories of second and third grades. The students received diplomas and prizes funded by the Brodnica Municipality.

• Group III: Michalina Kalenik (SP Cielęta), Konrad Dubowski (SP Gorczenica), Witold Skonieczny (SP Gorczenica) - 32 points - 2nd Place
• Group IV: Marta Okraszewska (SP Gorczenica), Barbara Hołysz (SP Gortatowo), Aniela Węgrzynowska (SP Gortatowo) - 31 points - 3rd Place
• Group I: Henryk Tuptyński (SP Szabda), Julia Szczepańska (SP Gortatowo), Błażej Mazanowski (SP Cielęta) - 30 points - Honorable Mention

Grade 3

• Group II: Filip Kułakowski (SP Cielęta), Wiktoria Gutowska (SP Cielęta), Stanisław Martewicz (SP Szabda) - 44 points - 1st Place
• Group I: Hubert Szczepański (SP Szabda), Wiktoria Marciniak (SP Gorczenica), Jan Różański (SP Cielęta) - 38 points - 2nd Place
• Group IV: Miłosz Cywiński (SP Gortatowo), Jan Matuszewski (SP Szabda), Adam Dubowski (SP Gortatowo) - 37 points - 3rd Place
• Group III: Letizia König (SP Gorczenica), Zofia Kopczyńska (SP Gortatowo), Franciszek Lesiński (SP Gorczenica) - 34 points - Honorable Mention
