Brodnica modernizes its schools!

The Brodnica municipality has received an impressive grant of over 14 million PLN for the comprehensive thermal modernization of educational buildings. Thanks to the support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management within the program "Replacement of heat sources and improvement of energy efficiency of schools", three facilities will undergo a thorough renovation.

Which schools will be renovated?

• Zespół Szkół No. 1 at ul. Matejki 5
• Szkoła Podstawowa No. 2 with Integration Departments named after Polish Olympians at ul. Kolejowa 62
• Kindergarten No. 8 at ul. Zielona 3

What exactly will be done?

The scope of work is broad and includes:

• Energy audits (before and after modernization)
• Preparation of technical documentation
• Replacement of windows and doors
• Heating modernization
• Installation of photovoltaic panels
• Lighting replacement
• Installation of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery

Why is this important?

The total cost of the investment exceeds 20 million PLN, of which the funding from the National Recovery Plan is approximately 14.13 million PLN. The City Hall has already announced a tender for the execution of the task. This is the largest investment of this type in years, which will not only improve energy efficiency, but above all create better conditions for learning and working for students and teachers.
