Górznieńsko-Lidzbarski Landscape Park Celebrates its 35th Anniversary!

35 Years of Górznieńsko-Lidzbarski Landscape Park

On October 15, 2025, a ceremonial conference was held at the "Wilga" Environmental Education Center in Górzno to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Górznieńsko-Lidzbarski Landscape Park (G-LPK). The event was attended by naturalists from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, representatives of the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Bydgoszcz, local government officials, including the Brodnica district's starosta Paweł Szramka, and the park's management.

Starosta Paweł Szramka expressed his appreciation to Director Tomasz Górny and the park's staff for their commitment to nature protection and building environmental awareness in the region. He also emphasized the fruitful cooperation with the Brodnica District and presented a commemorative engraving with an anniversary dedication.

The conference provided an opportunity to summarize G-LPK's activities to date and discuss the park's future development. The Górznieńsko-Lidzbarski Landscape Park, established in 1990, covers areas in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Warmian-Masurian, and Masovian voivodeships. It is characterized by a wealth of natural features, including numerous lakes, forests, and nature reserves. The park also plays an important educational role, offering educational trails and educational programs.

During the conference, former park directors who contributed to its development over the years were also mentioned. Attention was drawn to the park's cultural values, including historic churches and medieval settlements. Thanks were given to everyone who supports the protection of this unique area.
