Success of Young Farmers from Brodnica County at the Agricultural Knowledge Olympiad!

The county stage of the XXXV Agricultural Knowledge Olympiad took place in Jastrzębie, in the Bartniczka commune. It was organized by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Agricultural Advisory Center in Minikowo and the Brodnica County Agricultural Advisory Team. The event took place on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Fierce Competition and Selection of Winners

16 young farmers from Brodnica County took part in the Olympiad. Participants faced questions about modern technologies in agricultural production, environmental protection, and current regulations in agriculture.

After an exciting competition, the competition committee selected two winners who will represent Brodnica County in the provincial stage: Mateusz Kaczorowski (winner) and Aleksandra Szablewska (second place).

Provincial Final in Minikowo

Mateusz and Aleksandra qualified for the provincial final of the Agricultural Knowledge Olympiad, which will take place on October 23, 2025, at the Leon Janty-Połczyński Knowledge and Innovation Transfer Center in Minikowo.

Prizes and Sponsors

Participants competed for attractive material and financial prizes funded by Brodnica County and numerous communes (Bartniczka, Brzozie, Górzno, Osiek, Bobrowo, Świedziebnia, Jabłonowo Pomorskie City and Commune), institutions and companies (Bank Spółdzielczy in Brodnica, Dairy Cooperative "Ekomlecz", Brzozie Meat Plant, Kujawsko-Pomorska Chamber of Agriculture, Kalchem company). The prizes were presented, among others, by Kamil Suchocki, county consumer ombudsman, and Piotr Ruciński, mayor of the Bartniczka commune.

About the Olympiad

The Agricultural Knowledge Olympiad is aimed at farmers aged 18-40 from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. Its goal is to expand agricultural knowledge, promote modern technologies, and encourage innovation in agriculture. The provincial final is co-financed by the European Union.
