Potato Festival in Cielęta

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the joyful "Potato Day" took place in the picturesque village of Cielęta! This popular holiday in Poland, also known as Baked Potato Festival or Potato Day, is a wonderful way to welcome autumn.

Families with children came to the event in large numbers. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of the potato, and the youngest ones took part in creative workshops dedicated to this important vegetable. The atmosphere was enlivened by a bonfire, roasted sausages and potatoes from the bonfire, as well as communal singing accompanied by a guitar and joyful games.

The event was fully funded from the budget of the Brodnica Municipality as part of the village fund. The following were involved in the organization: the Village Council from Cielęta, Agnieszka Drumińska, Emilia Liszewska, Maryla Wolentarska, Tomek Ogłodziński, Domigaz Gazy Techniczne company, Związek Drużyn Geteway, Hufiec ZHP Brodnica and scoutmaster Paweł Jankowski.
